Some Suggestions To Assist You As A Parent

As a parent now for approximately sixteen years I actually understand the fine balance between toddler discipline, and squashing the spirit of a young child.
When my first daughter Ellie was born I was totally new with this thing termed parenting, and I discovered most of the parenting books to be contradictory at very best and many simply stupid at worst. This might seem harsh for some new parents who are seeking a right path as a parent.
I understand as being a parent is really a tricky business specially when it comes down to discipline and especially toddler discipline, if you opt for the free range strategy and simply let your children somewhat develop in the vain expect all is going to be well, then you are likely to be living some kind of living nightmare, with your kid entirely dictating the agenda and totally running your life.
However if you go for total discipline as preferred by several in the past, then you run the risk of totally losing the real essences of your kid's persona.
I want to say that their is a holy grail of toddler discipline, that you may follow and tick off the list as you go, and trust me a lot of people would try and sell it to you that way. Just how I observe it, it's about two core things boundaries and communication in particular as your kid starts to get to the toddler stage and beyond.
I still find this to be the case with my 16 and 13 old children, I have what i refer to as my fall back position, that's as long as I may go on any given issue, that's my boundary that in many instances my kids over a few years have learnt to recognize, however within those boundaries their is countless opportunities of freedom of expression and chances to grow as individuals that I personally feel is necessary.
To do this although good communication is essential while implementing toddler discipline, to this end I have been really lucky to have learnt things such as NLP which have helped me shape my vocabulary skills and gestures to get maximum involvement with my kids.
