PostHeaderIconI Don't Want To Face A Cluttered Home. Organize My Home In Four Simple Steps

Lilies - the earth's abundance

You look around at the piles of mess everywhere and call out "I wish somebody would help me organize my home". Sorry, there is no 'magic fairy' that's gonna declutter your house for you while your gone. You are gonna have to do it yourself, and you can do that with a plan. Once you have your plan in place, simply a little time spent every day will get your house organized and help to keep it that way in no time.

Your obvious motivation for organizing your home is to feel good about walking in the door at the end of a hard day at work. You don't wish to face a cluttered home. Consider this motivation as being your "WHY" question - Step 1.

Set yourself a time that you are gonna work on arranging your home. You can start with 15-20 mins every night, or dedicate one day on the weekend to do this. If you spend some time every evening starting out, you will notice that it does not really take that long, and you will start to see your house beginning to look organized sooner than you thought. A simple example would be to grab towels or laundry as your heading towards of the laundry room and put it there. See? One pile already taken care of. That's your "WHEN" question - Step 2.

you've your plan, you have set aside your time. What room are you going to start in? You can start in the most cluttered room and work your route to the least-cluttered room, or go from the least-cluttered to the most. You might wish to start in the room that everyone sees when they come to visit. The selection is up to you, but you need to choose a room to start in. This is your "WHAT" question - Step 3.

Going through your belongings is a personal objective. Look at what you have, whether you actually use it, or is it anything that you have just kept. If you've no plans for it, haven't worn it in a while, or don't fit into it anymore, maybe you should think about donating it or having a yard sale. When you are at this step, use containers, plastic bags, whatever you have handy. Separate your items, put them in bags, gather them up, and get them out the door. This is your "HOW" question - Step 4.

Following these four simple steps will get things so straightened up that you'll no longer be standing there after working all day calling out "I wish somebody would help me organize my home". You will be coming home and enjoying a peaceful evening doing what you wish to do.
