Inmarsat today launched its new worldwide handheld satellite television phone, the IsatPhone Pro. Retailing for as small as US$500, the phone will be a 'game changer' in this specialist market.
The new support, Inmarsat's first worldwide handheld, provides an unmatched specification at the most competitive price point within the market. IsatPhone Pro provides up to 8 hours talk time and up to 100 several hours on standby. The mobile has closed an IP54 rating and is dirt, splash and shock resistant. It is also capable of operating from -20 degrees C to +55 degrees C, which may be the widest temperature range of any satellite phone.
